Gig Rowing

A chance to try your hand at rowing a traditional Cornish Pilot Gig in a relaxed and sociable environment with other novices to share in your maiden voyage.

Great for you if you like working in a team and having fun whilst doing it. A Cornish Pilot Gig is, a fixed seat 6 oared rowing boat, which you will take for a spin oin the beautiful Bristol harbour. This traditional sport has a thriving over 50+ community across the South West, with three different gig clubs based in Bristol harbour alone. All abilities are very welcome, from complete novices to salty seadogs. But be warned that Gig Rowing comes with a word of warning – its very addictive!
